So what's up with California cars to UK

Seen a couple that moved on the C4 equipped early car that was poo pooed by several Tiger buddies of mine. The older CAT member who owned the car was rather stiff but it sold for $34,000 which seemed about right considering the dated mods and no original bits left.

The second car just sold yesterday on ePay UK . I only saw online pics as that cat was a car sales auction house churn type deal that if you bought it in California the nearly 10% sales tax would have eaten up most of the profits.

I hope both cars found a good home especially the C4 Tiger. I ended up with some or its original bits as the PO was going to blow out everything in a garage sale.

Hi Warren

Opportunistic traders trying to arbitrage USA/UK prices, with limited success so far. The early example - red brick colour - just 'completed' on ePay is in a poor state but I reckon the price it achieved of £19,000 (US$36,000) is about right for a LHD import in the state it is in - then that has to be reduced by the costs of shipping / import / VAT. I'd guess the dealer is probably still ahead... just.
