Col de Turini - climbing and descending videos.

Post by Tomaselli » Sat Sep 20, 2014 10:39 am

With a mass of photos and videos of the Monte 50th tour to work through, I have been inspired by Lou's wonderful Stelvio video.

I have uploaded the Col de Turini videos, climbing and descending the Col. Both had very different hair raising experiences

Would love to spectate the Monte Carlo winter rally on the same stage one day.

Tiger ran well, though the road tyres were taking a beating.

Brilliant fun. I see, like Lou, you chose the gentle sight seeing option in order to preserve your car for the rest of the trip. Power steering earns its keep. Not much traffic, what time of day was it?

I didn't see much of the scenery Bob, was paying attention in case of any oncoming traffic  would like to do the Col again but with closed roads, slick tyres and my race brake pads fitted.

Saying that, there just isn't the volume of traffic that you get in the UK. We ran up the Col mid-morning to meet up for lunch at the top, Hôtel les Trois Vallées. http://www.les3vallees-turini.fr

Also drove from Andorra to Pamplona in Spain across the top of the Pyrenees, about 300 miles in a day, and again very little traffic - heaven  That video is coming....
