As all Tiger owners know, Sir Jack was in on the 'ground floor' of the Alpine to Tiger concept and had close racing and business ties with the Rootes Group and the family.
I tracked him down 12 years ago to ask if he would be willing to drive an LM Tiger in the Goodwood Revival 'TT'. He was extremely keen and reminisced about the Alpine + Tiger and his US Riverside racing days. At the 2006 Revival he caught up with Nigel Tipping and his course Tiger at the Revival and spoke of his being charged with speeding in his old Tiger!!
