TT Publicity: RAC TT CELEBRATION RACE
For closed-cockpit GT cars in the spirit of the RAC TT races, 1960-1964 (one hour, two driver race)
The one-hour, two-driver Royal Automobile Club TT Celebration race remains the jewel in the Revival’s crown. Nowhere else in the world will you see such a spectacular grid of super-rare GT cars racing in anger, driven by great aces past and present. In 2012, the grid once again featured a breathtaking £100+ million array of internationally-renowned historic cars, including Ferrari 250 GTO and GT SWB; Aston Martin DB4GT, Zagato and Project cars; plus Sunbeam Tiger, Jaguar E-types and E-Type Lightweights.

WHAT A GREAT WEEKEND OF RACING TO SAVOUR

Fantastic!!

Taking just Best Times - 1.27.372 is better than the Team's 2012 Best Time of 1.28.17. Huff's time is 3rd fastest in last year's race.

Roll on 3 pm Sunday

Le Mans Tiger video qualifying at Goodwood this year.

Watching the event today via online video streaming via the Goodwood website was like being there, but in the dry at home  Excellent coverage of the Revival and hopefully be there next year for the 50th Tiger celebrations 8)

Goodwood Revival 2014

Post by gvickery » Mon Oct 21, 2013 4:11 pm

**GOODWOOD REVIVAL 2014 Dates** 12-14 September (provisional)

With the F1 calendar now pretty well fixed I can't see these dates changing.

(Watch): http://www.goodwood.co.uk/revival/about/about.aspx
(Read): http://www.sunbeamtiger.co.uk/Tiger50/Tiger50p8.pdf

I just need to remind anyone planning on coming to The Revival or only giving it a bit of thought, PLEASE bare in mind hotels / B&B's/ hostels/ camp sites - you name it, within 20-30 miles of Goodwood are ALREADY BOOKED.

Today I went to make a reservation for STOC members coming from NZ at my local Ramada - 40 miles north of the circuit and it is full NOW.

The Club can help but cannot magic up accommodation. I say this to any member intending on coming down for more than 1 day and is wanting an overnight stop TO BOOK IT NOW.

If you book in the neighborhood of Guildford / Cobham, Surrey us locals will set off each day at 6.30 am. to be in the Classic car parking before 8.00 in time for the 'Dawn Patrol' WW2 Aircraft display and breakfast.

Anyone needing guidance on hotels in Surrey drop me a line

Tickets go on sale to the public on Monday 28th October. Is the club planning any sort of display in the classic car park or the infield parking? Or just park where you can?

Alex. We are trying to get a 3 car display stage in the outside village, mainly for the race Tigers attending. Will post again if we are able to - pricing is out of this world and we haven't extracted any favours yet re it being our 50th.

We can't do anything about pre-booked parking as GRRC don't encourage it. But there's nothing stopping us all going in together. More on this in due course.

Yes the infield parking prices aren't cheap! I was in the Lavant car park last year so might go for that again as it was very useful to have picnic stuff in the boot inside the circuit and not carry folding chairs around all day.
These parking places are always in great demand so if I change my mind there won't be any trouble in getting a refund.
They need to appreciate Tigers more. I know that they've recognised Cobras, GT40s and Ferrari 250 GTO but didn't they even do something for the MGB's 50th?
