Tigers in Tiger Bay (STOC Welsh Run - Saturday October 19th)
A change of plan - instead of a run through the Forest of Dean we will now meet up at the services on junction 35 of the M4, then a short run down to Cardiff Bay formerly known as Tiger Bay where we'll have a coffee at the Norwegian Church.
Following this it's a run along the coast via Penarth, Barry, Rhoose, St Donats, Southerndown, Ogmore and Porthcawl. Lunch stop will be either at Ogmore or Porthcawl.
From Porthcawl we skirt the delights of Port Talbot for a run up the Afan Valley and over the Bwlch mountain pass, the highest A road in Wales and then back down to the M4 for afternoon tea at the Llanerch Vineyard at Hensol. A round trip of 100 miles. A final hurrah for 2013 before we put the old girls away for winter!
Anyone looking for overnight accommodation please let me know as we and some other locals can put a few people up.
