6 Tigers in total

A common shot, 60 galls in 1 weekend!

Shame the Ring was shut, but found alternative venue to pass the time.

The hotel owner [who collects tractors] got confused with track day at Spa & thought we said tractor at Spa! It struggled up L'eau rouge.

Got to ask, but why did you go all the way to Spa if it was closed?

Looking at the sign behind them I'd say they meant the Nurburgring Nordschleife was closed.

Spa was open, see the you tube footage. We followed on to Germany on the Monday for an evening session around the Nurbergring, but this was cancelled at short notice.

Indeed, a great road trip to Spa and Germany. Folk are always very friendly in Europe, it's a real pleasure in making an effort to take the Tiger abroad to the public who appreciate our classics.
Fine wine and fine food was also a bonus for the trip.
Good to meet up with fellow enthusiasts and a few random pics;
Hotel Seehof, a lovely family owned affair
Bonnet up;
Spa
Spot where Jackie Stewart had his infamous crash on the old circuit;
The fine food (note to self, get on a diet!)
Tractor session, why not - it's a classic! - though, too much power for the Specialist.
Misfire is in there somewhere......
Adenau square in Germany, very relaxing affair
Hotel An der Nordschleife;
Pizza's were very nice!!!
Boat back, realisation trip coming to an end
More random pics:

Unitil next time.....

Gents,
Thank you for the fine pics and videos. Brought back memories of a visit to Spa for the '86 Grand Prix (glowing turbos and discs - what an era). Really impressed with the valance mounted cam and exhaust note; the crackle from the pipes on overrun was magnificent. Interested in what cam/mic you are using...
Am guessing based on the pit tunnel antics a few windows were also rattled in Adenau Square?

Thanks, was very impressed myself with the results. Simple GoPro Hero 3 camera, mounted using a roll bar mount on the front anti roll bar. No external mic, but skeleton case to the rear to avoid any wind buffeting. Mounted another at the back and have now pulled them all together on one video of the full parade lap session. Youtube link can be found
HERE
Highly recommend the parade lap session, though would suggest wearing helmets as a sensible option. It was pretty much full on, not sure how some 'moderns' got on the classic parade lap, but the danger of following them into corners was that they had better brakes!! Chasing a Ferrari down to Eau Rouge was memorable

Great video, thought you were going well until the silver 316 over took you near the end! The power steering seems to work well, looked effortless.

I agree the power steering made the cornering look very comfortable. After six laps of Llandow in my standard Tiger, at Chris Darwin's recent trackday I was knackered!

The full video is fantastic Tony - even had the heart in mouth when the corner was "shortened" at (I think) Les Combes (handled with aplomb!). The resolution and sound from the GoPro very impressive - even had a session streamed to the big screen at work yesterday!
As an aside I sent the link of the photos to a mate who commented "I couldn't figure out why the blue Tiger always had the bonnet up - then I saw the blower!". He was well impressed given real estate constraints in the Tigers.
Thanks again for posting - top stuff.
