At last a friend of mine with a 1998 911 with his wife and my Tiger with the wife (who loves 911's) went out for a drive together.
The long and short of it-the Tiger was faster, his wife said it was fantasticly loud and he said he was invisible as everyone was looking at the Tiger. The wife is for turning!
Pulling out of the pub, a group of 6 guys were admiring the last of the air cooled Porches and then I started her up. Heads turned, mouths dropped, the chat stopped, the stares started, the dribble began. 'Its a Sunbeam Tiger!' my wife heard one of them say.
Its growing on her.

Glad to here your wife is starting to like the car. Once summer comes along and you get together with other Tiger familys I am sure she will enjoy it even more.
Just dont get her to help with the boot hinge springs as I did

Great story Simon, must admit 911 owners a usually 'surprised' when it comes to the potential offered by the humble poor man's Cobra. I have fond memories of 'spanking' a modern 911 in its place on the Le Mans Classic circuit laps

Yes, great story indeed.
Tony, didn't you upload that clip onto youtube? I've just tried to have a look for it but failed! - do you have a link to it? Cheers, Bob
