Anyone going up the M40 next W/E? Weather looks good but not confident Ive heard all the gremlins since getting the car back on the road. I could do with a wing man or 2.

Which day are you going to the National - Saturday or the Sunday?

I reckon to be at M25/M40 junct about 10.45-11.00, saturday, ready for fast blast up to Stratford to arrive
When I went up M40 recently to Stratford raceway I worked out it was costing me £1/min in super unleaded!!

Im going up on Saturday. Getting on at High Wycombe probably about 10ish. Hoping for 75p a minute so you should pass me, slowly I hope. If a few of us are roughly looking at same time I can change when i go.

I can go earlier, might be quieter traffic. Get to Strattford early for a couple of liveners before the official start!
Anyone else from Surrey chapter heading that way?

Have fun at the National guys, remember what Mr Davenall said; "we are a drinking club with a driving habit"

A bit like the car!!
I know Tristan cant make it. After the comments about bits falling off your car BigBob, it might be me helping you get there
Taking mine for a bit of spin tommorow to get a feel to see if it can make it in same number of pieces it starts with.

I'd be interested in joining the convoy (do 2 cars count as a "convoy"?) at either junction 4 or 5 of the M40. Most of the action seems to be taking place on Saturday evening so are you staying the night?
I can't make Sunday so going up on Saturday will mean seeing some of what's going on.

Im not planning on staying the night. I havent booked a room, dont know if any rooms available or if any camping around there but could be pursuaded to rough it if there were facilities.
Ill be getting on and off at J4 more likely to be 10.30-11am

I will be joining m40 at junction 9 comong up from A34. I could wait for you to drive by and join, or meet in services at junction 10 the turning you would take if going to silverstone. about 11.00 to 11.15am
I had not booked in allso and stratford manor hotel is full so I booked a B&B
just up the road in Henly in Ardon [looks a great little village]
We could make a convoy of 3

I believe we have a few camping, not far - it'll be nice that with the weather forecast being very good
and, if you do end up in Henley-in-Arden, make sure you stop off at the parade of shops on the High St and try out the world famous ice-cream.
Take plenty of pics on the National meet please, would be nice to see them on forum

Harry. I could make that meet at J10 on the M40 and make it a convoy of 5. Be good to make it 11.30 though if OK with the others.
Anyone else?

I would think it best for me and Bob to meet up with Mariner at 11.00am, J5 Stokenchurch (Wycombe juction is not friendly for parking up or going round). That should give us enough time to get to J10 or services for about 11.30.
If that OK, I'll be getting on at J4 at about 10.45. Might just bring the tent if the other arf lets me.

J5 at 11 suits me. I assume there's somewhere obvious to stop. I may see Graham en-route.
