New Guy

Post by VaCat33 » Fri Sep 30, 2011 4:01 am

Hello

I am a relative newcomer to the Tiger community, having owned my Tiger for a little over a year.

My Tiger is a 1965 MkI, B9470033FE. As a very early model, it has a Borg Warner T-10 gearbox and a black dash. It is Carnival Red and underwent a rotisserie restoration back in 2000-03 by the previous owner. It is relatively stock except for a few LAT options under the bonnet, such as the LAT 1 Induction kit and the LAT 2 Engine Dress up Kit (Chrome air cleaner and Tiger valve covers). I will eventually get some photos posted as soon as I figure out how to do it. In the meantime I look forward to talking Tiger stuff with you all.

OBTW...I lived in London way back in 1985-90 when I was posted there as an employee of Uncle Sam.

All the Best,

Jim

Hi Jim,

Welcome to the Tiger community. There is plenty of experience on this forum, so any question you have can be asked or searched for very easily. It would be great to see some pics.

Regards, Robin.

Very nice Tiger Jim. The combination of the white wall tyres with the stock rims and the Carnival red really set it off.

New Guy Photos

Post by VaCat33 » Fri Sep 30, 2011 5:35 pm

The photos Michael posted were from the Fairfield County Concours 2 weeks ago. My Tiger won 1st Place in the Youth Judges Award and a 2nd Place Peer Award in the 1965-66 Class.

I have attached below some other photos of my Tiger to include the interior and engine compartment. Since the whitewalls on factory wheels with period bias ply tires are usually for shows only, I have also attached a photo with 6x13 period Cosmic Wheels with 205x60x13 tires.

Thanks,

Jim

Beautiful inside and out!! 8) I can see why you won first & second place Jim. The car that won the Peer first place must have been amazing to get ahead of yours.
