Beware - Further Attempts By the EU To Meddle With Our Hobby
Guys,
Yet again, the EU is trying to meddle in our hobby and restrict us to keeping our cars totally standard:

We all need to get vocal about this or we could be stuck with 13" steel wheels, cross-ply tyres and standard, inadequate brakes. Not to mention stock 260 engines!
No doubt it's another attempt at protectionism for the big EU vehicle manufacturers so that they can keep all the spares business for their vehicles.
Time for action methinks!!!!

It was a while ago that I read the EU rulings, but IIRC it was aimed at modifications that make cars less safe than when they were new, so the modification industry and responsible car owners, classics included, have nothing to worry about.
I'm frankly shocked that the Daily Mail has taken a piece of news and sensationalised it.

Take it with a pinch of sale, Brussels from time to time comes out with a load of hogwash. Remember back in the nineties they wanted to ban 'powerful' moderns.
Too big a business for 'classics' and 'customisation' of cars to fail. Also, another element of freedom being taken away from humble honest tax paying folk who have nothing to gain.
It can never be regulated, unless imposed by legislation and the Insurance Companies have their hands forced.
...... now where did I put that 427 big block stroker

Well I be damned, a little common sense from our Transport Minister;
