Tiger Insurance

Post by vkxbob » Sun Jan 29, 2012 12:34 am

I wondered if anyone out there would be good enough to let me know if the club had a preferred insurance company for insuring their Tigers through.

Alternatively, what are people's personal recommendations?

Thanks in advance, Bob

vkxbob,

One very important consideration is to have a policy which, in the event of disaster striking, gives you the option to buy back the salvage and rebuild the vehicle.
Not all classic car policies have this feature, so check first.

I was recommended to use Hagerty Insurance UK by some other Tiger owners and I have been very pleased with their friendly, efficient service.

I've always used Footman James who have proved to be excellent, especially when they paid for a €600 low loader to get me to Le Mans Classic 2010 when the old bus broke down in Tinchebray on the way!! Fortunately Mr McGee cured the problem once there and she ran faultlessly for the reast of the weekend.

Thanks Tony.

Hope to pick her up in the next few weeks.

Have spent many hours and have travelled 100's (if not 1,000's) of miles driving up & down the country looking at various Tigers. Think I've now found the one for me.
