Ian worked with three bosses in Rootes Competitions from 1963 - Norman Garrad, Marcus Chambers and Des O'Dell.
He is best known to fans of the Tiger for his multiple co-drives with Peter Harper in the leading International European Road Rallies in those few short years when the Tiger made its mark on the rally world. His first love was the Riley Kestrel but his best work was done in a Tiger.
A very, very nice man who was the backbone of the Work's rally effort in the Tiger. He will be greatly missed by many people.
Ian's funeral service will be held at the Hereford Crematorium at 2.00 this Thursday 12th January 2017. Jeremy Holden has kindly agreed to bring along the ex-works rally machine AHP 294B
Here are just a handful of pictures of his exploits.
