Did anyone else attend CarFest North at Oulton Park at the weekend? We went for all 3 days and had a brilliant time - lots of money raised for a deserving cause, and a great selection of cars both static and on the track.
There were some clubs present (TR's, Healey, Lotus, and Astons were out in force for their centenary) - but no Tigers...maybe something to put right in our 50th anniversary year if we can slot it in between other events.
What do you think?

I was with Bob on the trip to Schloss Dyck as well - top job open to all comers. Our Tigers and Alpines were welcomed by the organisers and the paying public loved our display. An excellent event. Our bit was jointly staged by the British, German and Swiss Tiger Clubs - photos will be posted shortly.
That said the Club did attempt to join Car Fest South in 2012. Several on-line applications and phone calls were made to no avail. Their admin must have been an utter shambles or else the entry judges were so far up their you know whats that we never got an acknowledgement least of all an acceptance to stage a club show!
But if a hardy member would like to make enquiries for 2014 on behalf of the Club I'm sure we'd be delighted to attend!!

Yes, We were at Oulton Park as part of the Aston 7 display (with a friends motor) and the organisation was, shall we be kind, officious!
It wasn`t your normal car club organisation, much more an "Event" managed by a very professional outfit - but then I suppose it has to be done in a very organised way due to the scale of it.
The car club displays that were there were fine, but not very many of them, really (Metros!?!?!). The whole event was a balanced mix of Music event, country fair, track day, and car show - it really was something for everyone.
I don`t see why a Tiger Club display couldn`t happen but will need organising well in advance, like now probably - maybe even apply for a Tiger 50th Anniversary 7, which lets you have track time as well. Aston Martin were 100 this year and they were allowed to have 100 cars on track on Sunday!.
Did spend a time chatting to Paul Hollywood and, of all the cars there, he was lusting after the DB5 from Skyfall that was on display, even though he could choose any of Chris`s Ferraris to drive and had been lent a Mclaren F1 for the weekend. Its alright for some.
