Re: Worst Tiger.
It is of little doubt that this Tiger will be reshelled into an Alpine . For those that disagree with this practice, what about the brand new body shells available for MGBs ? Does that mean it is no longer an MG ? After all they were not made in the sixties . I see nothing wrong with it , after all...

Ok, apart from the period pics of both tigers and alpines.. i finally got to go view the original unrestored alpine SIVGT down here.. no repairs, fully documented car (not quite as nice as the John Boggis owned SIVGT auto in the UK) but comparable in originality. A little belated.. but the pics from...

It was the poor man's Cobra, the seller obviously thinks it's worth as much as one too. You think you can buy a real cobra for 155K?   thats the starting price for a decent tool room copy (kirkham, olsen etc..).. which in theory makes the tiger look good value.. at least its a facto...

Car was originally listed for 55K on the first day... as for most expensive tiger.. it hasnt sold, just someone asking a silly price. Those who keep an eye for whats going around will remember the HSC "tribute" Tiger actually selling (as opposed to "asking") in the 150's last year. As for most valau...

While this is a discussion that started on another board (CAT) i will repost here for a broarder sample group. (of note should be the SV alpine given they share the MKIA/II body and the same cost cutting efforts) Some period road test pics from the brooklands books from Alpine SII to SV and Tiger. A...

I'd say the rear vent came in on the D type harrington tops as a ventilation system, The early "harrigton alpines" as in SII based with fins had opening rear sinows for venting.. the Harrington Lemans started with opening rear windows and a series of ventilation "gills" in the rear C pillar.. these ...

Ash, You can still get 13" tyres.. not as easy.. but they are available.. and probably will always be.. but may get a bit more expensive/difficult (that said.. 13" are pretty well priced compared to larger tyres) I dont mind 14's on our cars.. but 15's require a specific design/tyre combo to stop th...

Tony, As always thanks for the pics, intersting mods on the rally tiger, the combined bonnet scoop/vent is interesting.. i assume the filter has a vertical draw for air as well as sides.. and then the hot air continues and gets sucked out the low pressure zone near the screen? Also the works style f...

Good to see "youngsters" taking an interest!
