Hi Greg, If your cooling system is 100% then you may have to look at other areas. Is you temperature gauge reading correctly or is your timing out or points? What radiator are you running? If your engine cruising temperature is 180-190, I would set it 5-10 degrees (even set at 190 to come on) above ...

Hi Greg, Depending on the clearance between the bonnet and air cleaner will really depends on the thickness of the heat spacer. Go for the highest one you can fit, but at a minimum go for a 1/2" spacer. Holley also produce a heat shield which may be beneficial. If your car has not always done this, ...

Hi Greg, The heat issue in traffic is and has always been an issue with Tiger's. I am only assuming by your forum name that you may have a 302. I would be fairly confident in saying that heat soak was the issue when you were out for your drive. Heat soak is basically all the heat generated by your e...

Hi, Hopefully for any prospective buyer it is a true tiger and not a fraud. Unfortunately the buyers don't always buy with their heads and fall into the trap of the unscrupulous seller. Are there any members that are near this garage to check out the car and report back? I would hate to hear that so...

Hi Jay, You are absolutely correct. As we all know, in our Tiger's there is a great big lump of V8 iron in a very little space with little ventilation. As you found out, everything is the cooling system has to be top notch or they will overheat. Great to hear that you have sorted out the issue and y...

Hi Jay, Sometimes things just don't go our way with our Tiger's as I found out earlier this week, but that's another story  . I think you are taking the right steps with your Tiger. Once you have sorted out all of the obvious causes, then go on to the modifications as described by the other me...

Hi Rick, I can't help you with the local stuff, but in regards to your tyres I heard that alot of people are fitting softer compound sportier tyres. This is due to the amount of use our Tiger's get and alot of owners are finding that the tyres are reaching their used by date with plenty of tread rem...

Login to forum.
Hi,
I have noticed lately that when I return to the forum on this site, I am having to log in even though I checked the little square on the login page. Are other experiencing this problem and are there some technical issues with the site? It is not a big deal, just curious .
Thanks, Robin.
