Kop Hill
I was surprised to be the only Tiger going up the hill at this non-competitive charity event, although there was another in the display car park. Really good atmosphere and fantastic display of cars and motorcycles from 1901 through to 1972. Also sadly probably the last chance to see the Ecurie Ecos...

Sywell Classic September 28th/29th
Anyone going to this? http://www.sywellclassic.com/
I see that they're offering classic car clubs 5 to 10 places with 2 free tickets per car. Otherwise you can park in a classic car park but have to buy tickets at normal price of £14 each!

And I forgot my Alfa Romeo 164 3.0 V6! I wanted so much to love the car because the engine was a work of art and sounded fantastic. Picked it up new from the dealership and had 2 warning lights come on before I had driven 3 miles. Got it back 2 weeks later and then had no gears in a contraflow on th...

1964 Anglia 105E – even with a quoted 0-60 time of 26.9 seconds I remember bad axle tramp! 1965 Hillman Imp – first experience of a 360 degree spin on a wet roundabout. Remember not to lift off when cornering! 1959 Austin Healey Sprite – wanted a sports car! It should have been a frog eye but had fr...

I've one fitted to my everyday car and it helped to reduce the insurance premium because it is "high risk" apparently. No idea how well it works because luckily never had to use it! I would have thought that Tigers were rare enough that it would be difficult to sell on as a complete car or even part...

I'm paying the same through Hagerty - same value but limited to 3,500 miles pa. I'm 60 and live near High Wycombe so probably medium risk in terms of insurance areas. I insured a previous toy car (not a Tiger) through Footman James for 20+ years and was very happy with their prices but they were quo...

LAT 72 Radio consoles
Having got a nice 1960's Motorola radio I thought that it would be nice to see if I could get the console to go with it. 2 on Ebay in the US - 1 supposedly complete but in tatty condition went for $1237 last night and the second one which is better condition but doesn't have all the bits has bids st...

Being trying to find a link to the articles that I read that put me off using it. If I remember correctly the main problem related to the simple fact that although Evans coolant had a higher boiling point it wasn't as good as water in absorbing and distributing heat. Quite a lot of users referred to...

I had a long look at this earlier this year after seeing the product on a stand at the Goodwood revival and picking up a leaflet offering 20% off. If you look through all the stuff on the internet the picture isn't quite as positive as the promotional literature says (surprise, surprise!). After rea...

Only just picked this up - and yes I did have an issue with the filter touching the chassis and working itself loose. The result was it dumped a couple of litres of oil while on the motorway and produced a smokescreen that the army would have been proud of! Apart from having to spend days trying to ...
