Fitted the recently recovered centre console and ash tray to match up with the new seats - also in time for the German trip. Initially couldn't work out where the ash tray went, (as my console was originally from an Alpine), but found some piccies on the web and now all is in situ. Earlier today fit...

Bottom hose bracket - Bolt thread size

What is the thread size for the large bolt that secures the bottom hose bracket to the chassis leg?

Thanks

Power steering

I agree the power steering made the cornering look very comfortable. After six laps of Llandow in my standard Tiger, at Chris Darwin's recent trackday I was knackered!

ASE Rally Monitor - iphone trip meter app

A possible alternative and cheap Tripmeter for those of us who are planning to take part on the Tiger 50 Monte Tour is the ASE Rally Monitor App for i-phones. Not sure as yet how good it is but it's worth a try at £3.50. I don't know if it's available for other android phones or the ipad, ipad would...

Try Simoniz "Back to Black", it's meant for plastic bumpers but it brings up vinyl seats really well.

I will refrain from making any comments in relation to vibrating electrical devices!

V8F oil filter

Just done an oil change and I've fitted a V8F glass fibre media oil filter for the first time. I've got the standard remote filter fitting, on a blueprinted 260 with fast road cam, Holley, etc. The V8F is slightly longer than the previous item but fits without fouling anything. Would probably increa...

Thanks Bob, I'm not too worried about the condition of the vinyl as it's going to be recovered, would be nice if the ashtray was in good nick, but those one's Dave indicated from Europa spares look OK. I don't know where the original went, probably disappeared along with the air filter, fan shroud a...

Been on the lookout for one of these myself.

I've tried contacting the guy who makes the UK reproductions several times by email following a PM he sent me back last summer, with no response.

Might try him via the phone number.

Agreed the prices being paid for these stateside is crazy.

Must admit I didn't notice the Tiger/Alpine, will take a look on the i-player. James Martin was such a pretentious prat, poncing around with a replica of James Hunt's helmet - with his name on the sides and when the fat git turned up dressed as Jackie Stewart I almost split my sides laughing. I was ...

WANTED - Air Filter Housing

I'm looking for either an original air filter housing or one of the LAT style aluminium versions (this doesn't need to be original).

Anyone got one they don't need at a sensible price?

Thanks

Thanks Michael, very helpful.

I did manage to get an original cap, now I need to decide if I re-spray it black or get it chromed.
