Hi,

I also have never heard of anti-tramp shocks :? . How do they differ from standard shock absorbers?

Thanks, Robin.

Hi, I couldn't agree more and it is a good idea to remind people of the hazards. I have recently booked my Tiger in to get four new tyres after them being on the car for about six years. Back in 2004, I had an experience in my Alpine that could have caused an accident if left un-noticed. My tyres lo...

The car has been in for a tune this week. It has not been running right, and they think it has a intake manifold vaccum leak. Hopefully new gaskets will have it running well. They tested the battery and it is on it's way out. Not supplying enough power to the coil which is why it's not starting as ...

Hi Mal,

I found it didn't matter about how you drive. Once you stop, the heat builds up and the inevitable happens. There are a few ideas posted for you, let us know how you progress.

Regards, Robin.

Hi Mal, Beautiful Tiger Mal 8) . I had exactly what you described with my Tiger and even with my Father when he had it and it frustrates the hell of you you. From what you describe, it sounds a lot like heat soak causing the fuel to boil off (no where for the heat to go when the engine is off). It h...

Hi Mal, I recently purchased a Moto Lita steering wheel which is 14" and my Alpine steering wheel is 13" by memory. I have not installed the Moto Lita yet, but even with the Alpine's lighter steering you do work a bit harder at low speed. When you add another 200 Kg's for a Tiger I think you will no...

Re: Drag race

Lightly supercharged is when you cock up the pulley sizes & find you only have 3psi boost instead of planned 8psi!! Still enough to overheat & warp clutch. New smaller pulley, Spec stage 3 clutch, & tremec box going in now. Hopefully will be sorted at last for 2010. Thanks for the reply. Any chance...

Re: drag racing

We have had some Tiger drag meeting visits to Long Marston which were good fun. May be a cheaper alternative to Santa Pod. My Tiger ran 13.74 @105 in this years Brighton Speed trials on poor quality tarmac. That was handicapped by having above average mass in the drivers seat! 302, lightly supercha...

:( That is a shame, but that is the risk you take I guess. It was such a well presented BMW as well. Are they a rare car? Glad to hear that the driver is OK. Do you know how the accident occured?

Regards, Robin.
