I have been wathing this thread with interest. I have a genuine Mk1 unrusted low milage car. The previous owner was an extremly bad driver and the car has bad body damage. Now I knew that when I bought it so I made sure I had replacement alpine body panels sent over in the same container as the car....

Wow, I have read all the comments and both sides have valid points. I am most probably the newest Tiger owner on this Forum so my word may not hold much worth. If I have a series IV Alpine and it has been very badly damaged and I have found a good car without any running gear. I buy it and swap all ...

RHD body in the USA very unlikley. I will check with the CAT site, cannot think why anyone would go to the trouble of shipping that wreck and a pallet or 2 of parts all the way over the pond.

Nice car, hope they can get the money. I will spend more time, less money rebuilding my origional one owner tiger than they ever expect as a price. Removing every spec of body sealer from every crevice, show me the money.

Underneath body

I have researched the web sites regarding the underneath colour of our cars. The general comment was it was "body colour". I beg to differ, I am in the process of a full rotisseri restore of a Tiger Mk1. This car was one owner and had a hard life, it had extensive impact damage. I have removed bonne...

It is best if you can apply a good sealer as soon as possible after stripping back to metal. As soon as it is exposed it starts to rust. After stripping, clean it completly and dry it. After that apply a good sealer. Over here in Aus, I found a red primer sealer used to fix rusted items including ma...

I have a seller with a new midget rack. They told me there are 3 types of steering racks for the midget, early, mid & late. This one is the 'middle' type rack. Is it suitable as a Tiger doner?
