As I recollect when I spoke to Charles at Real Steel, he didn't say that Valvoline wasn't any good just that some other oils such as Penrite has a higher level of zinc, more = better? Apparently not if you read the test in the following link: http://speedtalk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=35836 Bear...

Monte Tour Col on Tour de France

The Col D' Allos which was the highest Col we crossed on last years Monte Tour will be climbed on this years Tour de France stage on Wednesday. The riders will cross the Col in the opposite direction to how we climbed it, it will be the penultimate climb for the riders. It's the climb where Bruce an...

I'll be there with my Tiger as it's fairly close by.

Anyone else likely to turn up?

13lb standard for a Tiger I believe. My radiator cap has number 7 stamped on it, so I would assume that's 7lb? It works fine, did so with the original radiator and now with the new alloy Concept Racing rad. I run 50/50 distilled water and blue antifreeze. So potentially I could improve the performan...

Continental ContiSport Contact 5 voted best tyre in recent Auto Express tyre test.

I've had them on my Tiger for the last three years, good wet and dry grip. The outside edges of the fronts have gone now thanks to all the hairpin bends in the Alps on last years Monte Tour. I run 185/60 R 14 H.

Following a 725 mile round trip to Harrogate for the Nationals I can now report back that the BCC calipers do make a substantial improvement over the standard setup. On normal road driving they give much more confidence in braking, but it was on our drive over the Yorkshire Moors that I saw the bigg...

FOUND - Handbrake

Does anyone have a spare handbrake in good working order?

I rested my fat a@$£ on mine and I've snapped off the locating bit that engages with the ratchet.

I fitted a diaphragm clutch last year when I overhauled my engine. The clutch I had was a Sachs unit from Real Steel. The pedal pressure is slightly lighter but not a great deal. I changed the flywheel as well. So far it's done nearly 7000 miles including last years Monte Tour and the Stelvio on the...

No you can't use standard Tiger pads in the BCC Thruxton caliper but if you purchase a set they come complete with pads. There is no need to change the brake disc/rotor.

New front brake caliper option for Tiger

Last week I did some testing at Llandow Circuit using BCC Thruxton 4 pot front brake calipers. Good fun but not kind on my tyres! We did back to back runs with the original calipers and the BCC Thruxton (Tiger), calipers I've been helping to develop. These new calipers will fit under 13" wheels and ...
