I'm not sure it would be the fastest road tiger in the Uk.. a few stroker and supercharged Ti...

The correct doors/bonnet/boot profiles are a tell tal;e sign if a MKI is rebodied with a later car, or a cross over body car is bodied with an earlier or later car.. or a late cars is rebodied with an early car... but when they did tigers alpines had the same body changes at the same time, so all th...

Any system can be beaten if someone wants to enough. Are TAC stickers a quite complicated, hologramed maybe or just a sticker? Of course any system can be beaten with enough knowledge/time and money.. but why go to all that effort to build a fake? The TAC sticker is a single use sticker/applique, y...

1. I might be changing wheels from 14 to 15 inch - how much difference would the 11.75 v 10.5 inch diameter discs make? f you are going to go to 15" wheels you may as well get the larger disc setup as they do stop a little better and your new wheels will clear them. 2. Anyone used the rear wheel dis...

Graham, I can see the difficulty of your position in this thread, wearing 2 hats.. that of STOC president and that of your own opinions. I think what you said is very fair. I feel the term "alger" has obtained negative tones due to the fact it was often associated with cars that were fraudulently re...

You just lost my respect with that. I was hoping for more from you :( . I cant see anyone changing their tune! and its insulting that you accuse people that love and cherish their cars and have obviously put in way more effort into their cars than you, that they are doing it for 'financial outcome'...

Re: tiger
race tiger, michael's views on a restoration or rebody would probably change if he were to actually do a restoration of a car. Bob Webb, As i recall you dont do any bodywprk on your cars you just pay someone to do it, a very skilled person, but it aint you. I have had several friends restore alpine...

It's the same body bar some very crude mod's, the Tiger is a direct evolution from an Alpine. Accept it. What is it about this subject that people find so hard to grasp :?: I dont think anyone here is arguing that the Tiger is not derived from the alpine.. has anyone said that? This is a catch line...

RRT I said the Tiger would pass a TAC inspection in that state and afterwards if it had been re-panelled / restored. I did not say that being re-shelled with a Tiger body it would pass a TAC inspection. Please read what is said and not what you want to see! Could you give us your opinion as to why ...

Is a TAC inspection done using a points system. Surely it would be very easy for a repaired or modified car to lose some of it's Jensen build signiture areas over the years. Perhaps someone who knows the system could explain how it is done and any areas that people don't like can be discussed. Ther...

I cant see WHY there cannot be a recognised standard to allow a rebodied car carrying Tiger VIN and JAl over to save a car, using the same shell that the car de-rived from in the first place, it's not rocket science. Paul, I still dont get how you say you are "saving" a Tiger.. the car you are appa...
