Hi David,

Thanks for the advice, that does sound like a definite possibility. I assume that to lubricate those bearings it's a column out job?

Stiff/Notchy Steering

The steering on my Tiger becomes stiff and slightly notchy after an hour or so of driving, however it's fine at the beginning of the journey. I assume the problem is heat related. I have changed the universal joints in the steering column, as well as the track rod ends and upper ball joints. The rac...

Just out of interest, what is the correct radiator cap for a Tiger? I assumed that the 13lbs one fittied to my car is correct, but assumption is a dangerous thing... Also, what is the correct level for coolant in the expansion tank with the engine cold? Another assumption of mine is that it should b...

I agree broadly with the comments above: The website is a good one and easy to use, although being able to post photos would really help. I really like the see all unread posts feature. A How To section would be fantastic, but of course relies on people taking the time to take photos & post descript...

Hi Lou,
Do these calipers take the standard pattern brake pads and can the standard discs be retained?
Thanks,

Mine's been and gone. I believe that B9472417 HROFE (AKA JLX622D) came off the Jenson production line on the 5th February 1965.

I've treated it to a complete new interior for it's 50th. :-)

A superb magazine and something for The Club and all involved in creating it to be proud of. :D

There can't be many - if any - classic car clubs which produce something of that quality.

Thanks Guys.

My car is a UK model with the short hose, so sounds like it's a dodgy hose; I'll fit a new one.

It does explain the fact that the temperature of my car rises gradually over 50 - 60 miles of motorway driving.

Thanks again for the posts.

Collapsing Lower Radiator Hose

I have noticed that the bottom radiator to water pump hose on my Tiger collapses when the engine revs, presumably limiting the water flow. This phenomenon is well documented on Mustang forums, and the remedy is to fit a spring inside the hose. Is there such a spring that can be fitted to the shorter...

Very useful thread as I'll have to do this on my Tiger sometime soon.

One question springs to mind when looking at Martin's photos; does the windscreen frame need to be removed to fit a new dash top?

Are the inferior Mallory coils identifiable from the better quality items? I'd like to know if I'm living on borrowed time with mine!

Tiger on eBay

Just spotted this, anyone know the history of B9472012?

Shame there aren't more photos.
