Sale Prices at Historics Auction
There are two Tigers at this auction. This red one looks superb. I would be tempted to put in a bid for this one. The white one is a different story. The original VIN plate is missing, replaced by a makeshift one ; surely this will seriously affect auction price? http://www.historics.co.uk/buying/on...

You also need to check the position of the fan mounting flange. It may need pressing to the correct position to stop fan hitting the rad. May also be a problem if you shim pump forward to clear impeller. I have already set the flange to the correct dimension, but I need to sort out the impeller cle...

New Water Pump
A long time back I bought a spare water pump. It was new, boxed made by Airtex, USA. I am now trying to fit it, but I find that the impeller fouls on the inner pump housing when offered up. The reason is that the impeller protrudes about 12.5mm compared to 10.5mm of the old pump. I am pondering whet...

I know of someone selling brand new T55 current Mustang boxes for £600 Although I cant find the T55 on the Tremec website, I am told thy are basically a 5-speed T56. I believe that they are made especially for Ford therefore not listed on the aftermarket section of the website. Does anyone know if t...

I have found a position, about 20cm forward of the normal anchor point on the wheel arch where I can fit the reel. When you tip the hood bin forwards it just clears. I can make up a steel strap to extend the mounting point. This is slighlty below shoulder leve but within the specified angle. There i...

Inertia Reel Seat Belts
I am looking at ways of fitting retractable seat belts to the Tiger/Alpine. This would be quite simple for a Mk1A Tiger, but the Mk1 has a hood bin that needs to swing forwards, and its tricky to fit the inertia reel with enough clearance. Has anyone else fitted this type of belt; if so what did you...

In my opinion the Tiger is a very reliable car. The engine and transmission are very strong and as far as I know have no design flaws or weaknesses. The front suspension cross member can get fatigue cracks so should be checked from time to time. Also any rot in the rear suspension spring front hange...
