Hi, They were all 6 bolt 289's fitted to the mk11.... the gearbox is also different... as you will know the 260 is a 5 bolt....they did make a 5 bolt 289 fitted in the ford fairlane..... they only made them for 18month's....they went to the 6 bolt pattern becuase of larger more reliable clutches...s...

Hi, I've got a set of original factory anti tramp shocks and bracketry hung on the wall in my garage... (don't know if they were optional extra's or had a LAT no;?) they are fitted horizontly at the side of the leaf spring to dampen spring wind up. there was a article about them in the Cats Whiskers...

the dimension of my CARCOON are 15ft 6.5ft and it runs on 12volts or 240volts and you can't hear or tell it is running.

hi guys,
you can use a lsd from a 3.8 mk11( not series 2) jaguar as it has the floating half shaft spacer fitted because it is a live axle,
if you use a independent suspension type diff (i.e e type)you will need to have a floating spacer made.

hi norman, i've had a look at the mk11 police car and i now know the speedo i have is correct which i am pleased about as they must be rare... the only other thing is how it was driven with the original speedo in place as they both must have been working to clock up roughly the same milage... maybe ...
