Firing Order

Hi Brad Thanks for keeping the restoration tales coming - images are inspirational, even if the end result this end is still not too much in the way of progress (Martin's right; body work just plain wears you down...) Are you going to stay with a period firing order in the cam department as well wit...

Guilty Your Honour

Sorry chaps - my bad That would be caused by image links to a little web page I threw together with some grabs of my cars. Very agricultural and I was obviously a little over zealous on the security front. I've moved the images to another area and flipped off the password control to rectify - again ...

Apply it thick

Hi Brad
Plate in situ - std tube has tendancy to flex/bend/crack
Upgrade completed with longer than stock Grade 9 bolts though had to run die over shoulder to complete

Torquey Talkie Torquay

Apologies chaps - didn't mean to take thread off topic.

Have a dry trip this weekend! Lou - will you be pulling the video out again for this season's trips? Enjoyed previous postings.

Cheers

At a guess...

Apologies for diving in Lou, but I'd take a guess that it's the strengthening/realign kit for the Panhard

Not too sure of link etiquette, but there are details here Brad:

FWIW, I used Mr Hall's plate kit on my crossmember/rails mounting points.

Cheers,

Changeable buckets as well

Oh they are nice.... looks like you'll be able to play with backspace/offsets if you ever wanted to anyway by the looks of that rear bucket. Finish looks very good also and nice to see they've deployed a decent piece of metal for the spinner. 15's are a good fit with the options that will give you i...

Rim-a-licious

Hi Brad - they are well tasty! Spinner cover looks trick and I like the fact that you've been able to show a bit of rim depth - is it a custom offset or is it all allowing for stock hub/drum location? What size tyre are you going to run? Nice work on the fron valance as well and again, thanks for th...

Sorry about that Chief

Aah, I see the difference. Should have paid more attention to the image... To be fair, that early version (assuming it could mount up) would give a nice impression of rear-up nose-down hard braking as favoured by certain autocrossers - permanently! (I think I have that right now?? Higher stub, lower...

Worth a call?

Hi - this single was listed in Nov 14 with zero bids - might be worth a call to vendor to see if a follow up worthwhile?

This is one for a long night and a few pints...

Strewth! - as some from down south may be inclined to exclaim... Bonkers even! Looks like a little 4-71 huffer atop - these were popular on straight six engines here back in the '80's ( see here for an example http://s57.photobucket.com/user/whypsi/media/IMG_0321.jpg.html ) - with 6-71's generally u...

Ooooh very tasty

Brad - those (and other) Image rims look super tasty and I must admit were on my hit list but I've ended up going for a set of billets out of the US for my Tiger. Apologies for the very rudimentary measurements, but here's a quick grab of some more from the Alpine valance - dinner pangs forced much ...

Re: Valance clearance

Does anyone have a photo of the modification to the valance need for wheel clearance when fitting larger wheels? Thanks Brad Hi Brad - these are from my Alpine but same principle applies. Cut looks a little severe but the car was elevated on stands so there is suspension drop to allow for. The car ...

Hi Brad Again, prefacing this with the usual disclaimers (opinion only, etc etc) my personal is that you can build more than enough poke into a 302 with a standard 3" crank. The 347's (and no doubt 331's) will most certainly deliver plenty of HP, and of course cubes = torque, but it's 2200lbs you're...

Hi Brad
By way of information only - and I know it appears as though I am a closet American here - have a read through this article (one of many available). It's a bit dated but gets across some of the available combinations.
