Hi Mal again :D The ignition light is very simple wiring, should be white wire from ignition live of ign switch, to ign light, then from from ign light, brown & yellow wire [if original] to the white wire on your alternator. The voltage you have is fine, but like I said if you don't have the ign lig...

Hi Mal Now your getting more complicated , the light should work from the earth/ground at alternator. I would of said the light was wired in wrong, but you said it was a fault be for the restoration . Are you still using the original regulator? Is the new loom as original? If you run the alternator ...

Hi Mal
Normally a regulator fault, the black box with Bosch on it. If you put the white wire to earth with the ignition on, the light should come on. If it does put it to the alternator body, if it still come's on. Regulator fault, if not earth fault with alternator.

Hi Mal Car looks great. From the first pic's you posted, I did not expect you to end up with such a nice car. So well done. You will have to find an other project now. As I have enjoyed following the progress, from afar. One last thing[and you don't have to answer] How many penny's ? Happy Tigering ...

I have just got myself an GPS tracker off ebay for £48 delivered and I must say I think it's the dogs wotsit. I now have my car as a contact in my mobile, call it and it texts me back to let me know it's ok, and where it is. if the car moves it sends a text to let me know. So for the price, they are...

Hi Mal Are you sure it's not a fuel problem, what carb are you running, as one venturi feeds 4 cyl and the other the other 4 with some carb and manifold set ups. A coil that feeds all 8 cylinders , does not normally fail on the same 4 cylinders . It's a shame you are a little to far away to pop over...

Looks good Mal, they do get dirty, if you use them tho. I had the 90deg adapter machined on mine, to clear headers, so have a bit more clearance. The oil cooler was on the car when I got it, so have never run it with out to compare, but I have no cooling probs so maybe it works. Harry ps. get rid of...
