some useful advice here thanks. Sounds like the 10 / 40 semi synthetic should not be a problem it may be because I removed the oil cooler & fitted a small spin on fiter on the block. After a long fast run Sunday the car stalled at a rounabout & was push started but hasn't sound right since

engine oil

Need sone expert advise. I have been using semi-synthetic 10/40 in my Tiger and I have been told this could cause damage and should only use a 20/50 mineral based oil. Is this fact?

I wondered who made these? Think i've seen them on F1 Stock Cars. As you say though pricey and although I don' want a rubber battery these are possibly a bit too space age

I suppose as in a rounabout way I started this I could scan in the tech tips as I have virtually all the CW's providing it is going to progress from there.
I am in Hertfordshire so if anyone has a tool to loan I can collect in the SE or pay return shipping from anywhere in Europe.

Thanks everyone for the advice on the front suspension assembly. I'm not much of an engineer so I would be very gratefull if anyone out there has a Chucrhill Spring compressor I can borrow/hire when the time comes.

Seems I have started something on the subject of techtips on the website ! :D

My mk1a has been at a body shop for a number of years being restored. As it slowly gets towards being painted I am considering how to re-assemble the front suspension. Normally it could be assembled on the car with engine in to provide the downforce. I would like to assemble the suspension so I can ...

MKII Tiger

Hi Gary, got yourself a very rare Tiger there as there were less than a handfull of official RHD Tigers sold outide of the Met. Police. They all went to Major Rootes Dealers and Jack Waters was one of them. For most of it's life Jack kept the car at Waters Hatfield showroom.

I am not sure he is taking orders?
I sent the Servo off to him without contacting him. I last spoke to Paul about 8 months ago which is why I am asking if anyone is in touch, I am not concerned about getting the Servo quick I just want to know Paul has received it and that he is OK.

As far as I am aware the Tiger MKIa and II were available with factory colour hardtops in the GT spec. i.e. with rolltops on the doors.
My MKIa certainly came with a white steel hardtop but it was a cop car
