brembo calipers

Hi Harry, I've fitted Brembos to my Tiger. I used Peugeot 406 discs & had the diameter reduced to suit the Tiger. Calipers bolt straight on. Steering arm needs spacing off.Minor machining needed to hubs. I had new flexie brake pipes made up At Think Automotive, with metric 1 end, imperial the other....

Fan & radiator

Just to confuse the issue, I've just fitted an electric pump which is suposed to circulate water better, as its consistant at all engine speeds. Done away with fan & pully & fitted high performance blower fan in front of the rad. Not cheap, but should be a marked improvement. I'll let you know how i...

It was a clever shot. Unusual to get both front & rear views in the same photo.

starting

Sometimes if some of the electrical connections are poor, when using the starter all the power goes to that & diverts it from the coil. Hence it starts fine when pushed. Check all connections around the solenoid & check the ballast resistor. A thin insulated spacer under the carb is always a good in...

For advice on fitting a Tremec check out the Tremec section on the forum. Some good links there. I wish I could show photos, but being useless with computers the directions on how to upload photos mean nothing to me. I'll try & get another member to assist. Supercharger photos were in Cats Whiskers ...

Drag race

Lightly supercharged is when you cock up the pulley sizes & find you only have 3psi boost instead of planned 8psi!! Still enough to overheat & warp clutch. New smaller pulley, Spec stage 3 clutch, & tremec box going in now. Hopefully will be sorted at last for 2010.

drag racing

We have had some Tiger drag meeting visits to Long Marston which were good fun. May be a cheaper alternative to Santa Pod. My Tiger ran 13.74 @105 in this years Brighton Speed trials on poor quality tarmac. That was handicapped by having above average mass in the drivers seat! 302, lightly superchar...

Photos didn't show that the BMW had also smashed in the rear, off-side, & roof. Not 1 straight panel left on the car. Its going to need a lot of T-cut to get it right.

Spa trip

Well done Tony for organising a great trip, & thanks to all attendees who made it such fun. Hope all got back in one piece. Dean, not sure if your new grit blasting service is going to take off, may need a bit more refining!. I'm sure Tony will post photos soon.

Tremec gearbox

I have a chance to buy a good 2nd hand 5 speed Tremec gearbox. But it looks larger than my T5 around the tailshaft area. Has anyone got advice on how easy to fit, especially regarding need to cut out metal under the arm rest box/ cross member. My bellhousing is suitable. Cable or hydraulic operation...
