i still think michael needs to look at a bare metal alpine body and a bare metal tiger body side by side. then he would understand a little more about the jenson changes to the alpine shell. i wonder if he has compared the photos of the trans tunnel of my series 4 to the photos of a MK1 tiger trans ...

WOW!!! robin used a lot of strong words. declaration, deceitful, responsibility, fraud, litigation( attorney ). he did leave out insurance but it appears that monetary value is very important to him. to me it's all about the fun and enjoyment of being able to drive something different. after all, you d...

this argument will never have a conclusion. there will always be some that will find fault with what others decide to do. i would not hesitate to rebody a car. i've proved my feelings on that a few times. some don't like my thinking but they have never seen my cars nor do they share my views. would ...

let's say that i converted a tiger back to an alpine. maybe i already have done this. as i have told many over the years my body man was going to restore my wife's alpine and when it came back in a bare metal state he told us we needed to find a better body since there were some hidden serious issue...

as usual some read only what they want and read into it what they want to think. for those of you that aren't aware of the situation, michael always disagrees with me. i believe that a true collector of a single marque of cars is doing it for the strong passion that they have for their cars. not as a...

now there's a good point! if you rebody an alpine 260 into another alpine shell you still have an alpine 260. i do know there are some alpine 260's here in the states but i'm getting old and never thought of than scenario.

michael really gets going on the subject of a rebody! i guess the guys that were around when these cars were new have a different attitude about a rebody. some of us still own the cars that we bought in the 60's. if something destroyed my car beyound repair or rust became so terminal i would rebody....

michael,
the harringtons are really quite tight and waterproof if you use the right seals around the top of the door windows, set the doors right and use the proper door weatherstrip. it's all in the details. so many folks seem to install the door weather strip backwards.
