Did anyone else get out in their Tiger for the FBHVC Drive it day event on Sunday the 28th? Here's a couple of Photo's of mine at the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire. PS - If any Midlands based Tiger Owners are interested in a run out this Thursday Evening the 2nd, I'm meeting up with t...

Thanks for the info on the cleaner, do you know what the rear & side screens are made of on the Alpine/Tiger Hardtops?

Andy
Ok, I will get some and give it a go.
I believe the rear and side Windows are Perspex on the Hardtop, not sure what the material is for the Rear Window on your Soft top, PVC Maybe?
Got to be worth a try for the cost of a bottle, will google for a supplier?
Cheers

Re: Hardtops How much?
Andy Thanks for the Info, I will give it a try? New Windows are £120 so it's got to be worth a bit of elbow grease! I was watching an episode of Wheeler Dealers last night and Tim used some Toothpaste and a tooth brush to clean some faded rear lights on a VW they were restoring and they came up like...
Re: wipers
Here's a tip I've read about in Classic car weekly in the past Assuming Tigers/Alpines are the same as most 60's car (They more than likely are?) and also If it's not been done before? Remove the wiper arms/blades and mark the positions of both wiper spindles, then you can remove the motor drive gea...

Re: Hardtops How much?
A couple more.
Can anyone advise if the rear screen can be cleaned, I've been told T-Cut may work?
Also anyone have a rear Stainless finisher for sale?

Re: Hardtops How much?
I collected the hardtop on Good Friday and I'm very happy with the top apart from a slight adjustment needed to the rear Boot Hinges (Hopefully) so the pins on the rear lower mounting brackets engage a bit better with the holes in the hinges? I also ideally need a new rear screen (The old ones gone ...

Re: Hardtops How much?
Ash I ran a magnet over all the lower sections and Header rail and good solid metal, no doubt it will have been repaired to some of these area's though and I can't really go stripping things down to look under rubber seals, etc! I took my car in for the M.O.T. Re-test this morning and got a pass :D ...

Re: Hardtops How much?
Yes, I know what you mean Ash, I've been fighting with my conscious since I viewed it!! The trouble is I've made up my mind I want an original one and the choices are limited unless I'm patient and get lucky. One sold recently on E-Bay (Still listed I believe) from the USA in similar conditi...

Re: Hardtops How much?
Ash It's really bad, the whole lower rear, sides and corner sections need replacing/repairing and it's a job that's well beyond my skills! I've had a quote for a professional to repair it and it's just not viable. If you add in the costs of all the new seals, headlining, Perspex windows, Etc it will...
