Seems that the LM Tiger had a poor showing at the RAC TT during the goodwood revival. From the video footage i saw it was running about 4th last. Was this the guest drivers or have the oposition done some more development since it last competed in (2002?)? :?: Also did anyone go and take videos/phot...

The test Tigers using the alpine wires shredded the spokes.. that said, alpine wires are not strong and not overly endowed with spokes. A set of tripple lace wires woudl be fine, as would 72 spoke wheels or stainless spoked wheels. Boranis are a VERY expensive option, but aston martin/AG XKE uprated...

I would leave the stock engine fan on for 2 reasons: 1. i doubt you will notice the Hop loss of the fan on a tiger.. they barely make a 1 bhp loss on an alpine. 2. It churs the air around in the engine bay.. without a hodd in the bionet the hot air will just rise and sit round the carb, i figure the...

Andy, There are a few different vents on the Tigers. The works rally cars had the triangular vents high up on the wings, the US based race cars had vents in the sides lower and larger.. and there were optional LAT vents for the sides that someone in the USA is reproduicing right now. some examples a...

Thanks Graham, From what i hear (and this is similar to alpine experience) the ally radiators are actually more useful on the move than when at idle. I have a Dales restorations alloy radiator in the car (this is mean to be a good one) and an electric pusher fan on the fron from summit racing (thoug...

Tiger cooling
A quick question regarding Tiger cooling.
Those who are running modfied Tigers:
What electric fans are you using? pusher/puller, after market or OEM, what size?
What engine driven fans are you using? Part numbers and brand?

Hi, Actually, we have had an issue with a Tiger/Alger here in AU lately. A car was imported from N.Z a few years back. It is a SIV alpine that has had all the rusty tiger bits welded into it. It was sold through the healey factory in melbourne. Now, if you pushed and prodded about the history of the...
