Gene, Thanks for the reserach on AU suppliers.. yes the place i found the 75-140 can get it for me if i order through them, same for royal purple.. just the long delay and cost. I needed to change the oil this week so was limited in choice.. will sort out what i can source reliably locally soon.

Michael, in the UK we are spoilt for suppliers who can sell the GL4 rating. Thanks Tony ... just rub it in ! :o As for robs question.. i had a manual that said 4.8, but my sump is not stock and i have the filter mounted in the front wheel arch.. so there is a little more capacity in the lines as we...

Both the March TAC event and the nationals are open to all to the best of my knowledge.. would be a good opportunity to have your car be put forward to the TAC process rob.

Melbourne TAC event

For members and sunbeams in general there will be a TAC event in Melbourne on Friday 16th March. If you want to get your Tiger inspected this is the best chance outside of the national (which will also be in victoria this year)

If interested i can pass on the details.

Graham, you say none of the kit survives on the car, is there evidence of where/how it was mounted? Are there any pictures/drawings/specs of the jensen IRC install? Did it require major fabrication changes ot the body.. the implication from what i read in your posts is that AF4 exists and that the I...

That makes sense, David certainly hasd a collection and has been involved in his fair share of sunbeams.. parts manufacture and improved bits! I belive he was a rootes dealer back in the day and I have been lucky enough to chat with him many years ago.. if i had known what i do now.. i'd have much m...

Mal,

I'm not opposing the use of mini parts.. just saying seems to have hybridised a modern mini and sunbeam.. and has done it very well... guiven you say he has a real tiger.. and makes alpine V8's.. is this David Craw?

Tony, it did remind me of the Harrington that won the ITE... however the current nose ont he car is a recreation of it's orginal front.. and unfortunatly not that accurate.. or indeed as well proportioned as the original. As a side note that car is in the USA as of late last year and has been runnin...

I think the mirrors look like either the modern mini or rover ietms with a custom stem, the vents in the frotn look mini too.. perhaps they had a wrecked modern mini and alpine and made the "best of both worlds" :!:

Adding a bead of sealant is a good idea.. just make sure you use one with the correct temperature range (it gets very hot in the tiger engine bay) The other thing is make sure its oil.. the thermostat housings can leak if they are the aftermarket chrome ones and will puddle in the recess of the wate...

Tony, I really liked the wheels, when i enquired the price was just way to high (especially with the conversion rate at the time) Also the wheels look much better with a deeper rim, same goes for their halibrand replica wheels.. the tigers offsets on the front especially dont do the design any favou...
