V8 engines for sale
Robbie (Ray) Harris has just built a spare engine for my Tiger and I'm very pleased with it. He asked me to inform members that he has other engines for Tigers (289 and 302 etc) that can be built to any specification that you want. Contact him directly on: v8ray@hotmail.com Mention that you got the ...

Final rive ratio
The handbook does not state the final drive ratio. I want to calibrate my speedo and rev counter.
Can anyone help?
How many mph per 1,000 revs in top?
This is for a standard Mk1 260cu-in

Lowering rear suspension
Does anyone supply plates to lower the rear suspension by roughly 2cm?
Presumably I'll need longer U-bolts too.

Minilites
Minilite recommend 6.0x15 for the front and 7.0x15 for the rear.
So what tyres do I get and what profile?
195 front and 215 rear seem best but what profile 55, 60 or 65?

Solved
I broke the number one rule when trying to cure a problem - do not replace several components at once.
It turned out that the new condenser was faulty!
Thanks for everyone's help tackling this, at least I now have new points, distributor, ballast resistor, coil fuel pump and rotor arm!

Still misfiring
Pressure tested OK, dismantled carburettor and it's clean as a whistle. So what next to check? Could it be a coincidence that the serious misfire (so bad it's undriveable) only started after fitting a Kenlowe fan? If so, why does the misfire occur regardless of the engine temperature? Could there be...

What make is my carburettor?
On my 1965 Tiger 260 my carburettor is twin choke and as far as I am aware is completely original.
What make/model is it?
I need a new/reconditioned one, any idea of a supplier?

OK bought a new distributor cap, rotor arm, points, condenser, coil and plug leads. Problem persists.
Conclusion it must be fuel. New SU fuel pump fitted, will now buy a fuel pressure meter so what should the pressure be?
