I've had a similar problem in the past. It was simply the rods getting all tangled up. Hi Dave, have been driving for a couple of weeks but noticed gearstick was sticking as it came out of reverse, will look at linkage later. It looks like it is stuck in top gear.
Just a point about the fuel in France. The petrol has 10 per cent Ethanol (E10) in France 5 per cent more than here. Do you think this will cause problems and is there anyway we can overcome this?
Having a fuel filter is a must these days as the Ethanol in the Petrol is taking small flakes from the fuel tanks and into the fuel lines. Has anyone fitted one before the Fuel Pump? I take it you would need a Stop Cock fitted as well to clean it out?
I replaced all the gaskets from the kit I purchased. Blew all the holes out, took the jets out, But still nothing. The gaskets fit perfectly to the metering unit. I used a new base gasket to the inlet manifold Its with a friend who is used to Holleys having a look now.Will let you know the outcome. ...
