Do you mean how long the bolt is? I'll measure it when I'm in the garage tomorrow

I'd read that the alpine ones were longer but they seem to be like hen's teeth! It looks like either trying to have one made up or resorting to something like Tyreweld.
The space saver idea is interesting though - I'd need to work out what size I needed for 185/60X14!

Spare wheel retainer

Having moved from 13 to 14 inch wheels I found that the disc and bolt that retains the spare wheel is now too short. I've tried to find a longer bolt but can't seem to find one with the right thread. What have others done or do you just leave it loose?

Thanks for the information. My Tiger doesn't overheat when moving and so far just about copes with sitting idling after a run with the electric fan but the engine bay does seem to get incredibly hot (do the tubular headers produce more heat than the original cast iron manifolds?) and I can sometimes...

LAT 79 bonnet - does it work?

Although the LAT 79 bonnet looks good is there any evidence that it helps keep the engine bay any cooler? Do the vents at the rear of the bonnet allow heat to escape? Does it only work at speed or does it allow heat to escape once you've stopped? I'd be interested to know if anyone has noticed any d...

4 tigers on Saturday but I was the only one on Sunday - in the rain. Very sedate run up the hill on a greasy, oily wet road. Poor visibility and wet so not much fun, but Saturday was fantastic.

I'd be interested in joining the convoy (do 2 cars count as a "convoy"?) at either junction 4 or 5 of the M40. Most of the action seems to be taking place on Saturday evening so are you staying the night?
I can't make Sunday so going up on Saturday will mean seeing some of what's going on.

Car won't start and fitting anti tramp bars

Help needed! 1. After running perfectly when I tried to start the car at the weekend (hot start) it wouldn't fire. After checking fuel and sparks discovered no spark from the coil lead.. It has had new Pertronix ignitor ignition and Flamethrower coil installed a few weeks ago and has been running pe...

LSD is on the list of things to do but I can't afford to do everything at once! I've been looking at the Quaife unit since I had a Quaife LSD on my previous car and was very impressed. Another question though is about traction bars. I haven't had the car long enough to know whether wheel hop is an i...

Brakes & Traction Bars

I'd like to upgrade the brakes and am thinking of Dale's Resto's Wilwood kit so here are the questions 1. I might be changing wheels from 14 to 15 inch - how much difference would the 11.75 v 10.5 inch diameter discs make? 2. Anyone used the rear wheel disc kit? I know that it won't make much differ...
