Someone must have thought about this. Even if it means trying different discs, can the calliper be mounted on the other side of the spindle mounting flange, fit the disc so its more about board and aligned to the calliper. This will give plenty of space for the steering arm to be pushed outboard and...

Glad to hear it from you Graham. It may stop the rumour mill. Shame it's a good opportunity missed though.

American opinion

I heard the TAC guy who came over from the States said he wouldn't give a TAC cert to 60% of the cars that turned up to the National.

Well yes I do think it did some damage but having just looked at FB there's more TAC loving there than anywhere else. Is it TAC , the type of website or something else which is making people like or dislike certain forums. Seems to be politics involved here which takes the love out of owning the car...

As a contributor to the TAC debate I have to say I have seen a drop off here and feel a bit guilty that I may have contributed to the drop off. Sad to see Michael And Robin not contributing now and what happened to V Max? I also pop into the FB page but much prefer here. I don't like FB as it's more...

I've had it happen to me. I found a part solution by putting the washers for the linkage arm pins on the other side of the rods. This takes a little of the play out the equation. Then set up with a 1/4" drill in the alignment hole. The small levers that fit onto the gearbox don't seem to be that wor...

Hi Mal, yes its an option and I may just do that. Ive read your thread and it sounds like I could be convinced. For now if MX5 rack is an option, can it be fitted without the pump (job for later) and do you remember what kind of UJ / system is needed to join the rack to column?
