Re: Door Hinge Pin Replacement

Bushing/oilite sounds a very very good idea to me. Where did you get them from ? Are they sintered or made from brass ?

Re: Fuel Tanks

Not sure whether it helps but we are using a blasting company here in Germany which is specialized in Motorcycle Tank Restauration. They fortunately also do the internal coating which can withstand modern fuels. Because of their Expertise we gave up to handle those toxic chemicals ...

Re: Door Hinge Pin Replacement

You may try it yourself but with normal DIY equipment such as pin removers and drills you'll be lost. Drilled one out once but it took me ages. Furthermore it's not easy to drill absolutely centered and vertical. Then you need the proper pins which have to be made on a lathe in the correct dimension...

Re: Door Hinge Pin Replacement

No way to get the pins out in situ. It's at least a hinge off job if you do it sequentially. Even with hinges off it's extremely difficult to get the pins out. Not for average DIYers. You need a proper machine shop with good equipment. I remember that Chris Draycott used to sell refurbished ones on e...

The new format is really nice plus the binding appears even more professional now.

By the way is the club planing to offer new binders as well ? Still have a few A5 ones but apparently not useable anymore...

We may have chance to shift that to 2020 though in favour of your idea though. Let' s discuss further on the show. Good to see you guy...
