what lens tony? :)

you could try lowering the back with lowering blocks. i did that on mine as i had a similar issue when using drop spindles and brand new rear springs.

i find the sellers argument that "it must be a real tiger because it's got none of the tiger parts" amusing :)

you've got to hand it to him for his paradoxical creativity.

i use brita filtered water because i can never find distilled water. brita removes about 60-70% of the total dissolved solids. water is a better heat sink than antifreeze so i use about 30% antifreeze and the rest water. i also find gano filters particularly useful on old cars. i have one in my tige...

i have an electric choke but i've essentially turned it off because i don't want it ever sticking on. i never need it, even in the winter and its an added complication and current drain. just keep your foot on the accelerator for 20 seconds after starting.

it doesn't really matter. i use the modern red organic acid technology (OAT) stuff because its not such a nasty chemical as ethylene glycol or propylene glycol . its more expensive and they say not to mix it with the glycol (yellow/green) stuff so you'd need to do a full flush of the block with wate...

it could be published for free using the amazon print on demand service. each copy would cost about $50 and he would even make money from each one sold. i pointed that out to norman but he hasn't followed up so i guess he has other reasons for not wanting more copies. perhaps he regrets publishing i...

i'm no authority, but i can tell you what i do. salt seems to be the worst offender and it particularly evil on chrome. 1) i put a good layer of wax on the paint around december. 2) if it gets covered in salt, i hose it down carefully including underneath. and run it until its all nice and warm. dry...

i agree. i've set mine at 19,000 which i think is reasonable. if the car was unmodified, the insurance would be cheaper and the value would be higher. but it isn't :) its also LHD which adds a little. any modification instantly jacks up the premium. when my mini was stock (165bhp manufacturers spec)...

yes, they seem to pretty much stop adding premium after the first 150hp increase or thereabouts. i declared a whole A4 sheet of modifications! for the blower, what did you say to the question 'who did the work and what are there qualifications?' - 'me - non'? :) i'm only 29 though. i think that does...

insurance

i thought some people might appreciate the details of my insurance renewal this year. of course premiums vary according to your circumstances and my car is quite heavily modified: Adrian Flux: I was with them for the last 2 years and they sent me a renewal price of 391 pounds! Peter James: quoted me...

thanks for the interesting photos. you mean you went up a size to push enough fluid to fill the caliper pistions? larger bore master would be harder to push than a smaller bore with the same calipers.

daylight robbery. although it was 1200 when i asked 18 months ago. i think camcoat was about 500 with shipping but i may be remembering wrong. either way, it seems very steep to me. the camcoat process includes a coat of satin paint on top. might it have been that that was peeling off? you are suppo...

Are you sure about that? It may sound like a common sense approach, but that doesnt not always work. You could also argue that although the coolant is not in the rad so long, it passes through more often so the disadvantage is cancelled by the advantage!! yep. i'm speaking from the experience of my...

you're right about the variety of pumps. 1) first there are late and early pumps that have totally different hose attachments. you want the early '260' style for the tiger rather than the late 302 style. 2) stubby and normal. the normal width just requires the pulley flange pushing a little further ...
