Boot internal floor dzus fixings

Hi, having got a bit fed up with the boot floor/battery cover flapping about I turn my attention to the two dzus fixings which hold it down. Now, I might be being thick but it would appear that a simple piece of wire rather than a normal spiral shaped dzus clip holds the fixing in place. But I cant ...

Just had an update from the guy who makes these...he is now making them out of a slightly thicker sheet so they shouldn't break at all unless you are really ham fisted. What a nice chap to update me about this...totally recommended. Not only that the repro switch I was fitting said snapped label rou...

Reference the source found on Ebay I mention above. Used him to supply mine including one with different script and they are great. You do have to be careful not to break them though when you put them on. (I broke one but happily enough of the ring left on it to nip it under the switch..(no-one woul...

Hardtop stand or other storage?

Hi, anyone out there used a hardtop stand such those that are advertised on EBay /amazon for around £100 a throw?
Or, alternatively, being a scroogey type I have an idea that a wooden frame constructed of 2x2 (suitably padded) may do just as well?
Any thoughts appreciated?

sun visors

Hi, with original visors and fittings being fairly expensive (if indeed you can find them) has anyone any experience of fitting items from either a) other more numerous classics ,such as MGB roadster? b) or aftermarket items such as these Perspex items http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CLASSIC-MINI-SUN-VISO...

Had the same thoughts myself....I think I will end up with a home made cradle of 2x2 framework somewhere in my garage. Watch this space (excuse the pun)

Im replying to myself here but in order maybe to provide a reference to others... This chap on Ebay(and probably elsewhere) seems to provide a solution. I will update you when I order and receive it. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sunbeam-Alpine-or-Tiger-Supplementary-Switch-Labels-set-of-2-Reproduction-...

toggle switches escutcheon labels/rings

To save me washing the windscreen every time I want the fan on, can anyone tell me where I can get some metal or similar labels for my toggle switches? the ring type escutcheon ones that go under the outer ring of the switch would be good. I've seen some good aux fan and washer ones on Ebay but woul...

East Anglian Tigers?

Having acquired my lovely Tiger, which is currently in storage whilst its house is being built and with only a week or so to go, my thoughts turn not only to driving and enjoying it, but also the more prosaic and sobering side of things; i.e. vehicle maintenance. I'm not hugely mechanically minded, ...
