cooling issues
Hi I've got a 302 in my Tiger, huge aluminium radiator with kenlowe fan and an oil cooler. I've never had issues in the past, the fan would come on at about 90° and it would hover around there even sitting in traffic in 30° heat. The car's just finished a major restoration and during the rebuild the...

wheel nut torque setting
Hi
I've searched all over but oddly can't find a torque setting for the wheel nuts, can somebody put me out of my misery please?
Cheers
Dave

Re: Tiger Carpets
Hi all Just came across this post as I'm approaching the carpet stage of a restoration. As suggested, I'm looking at these: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/254501502182?fits=Car+Make%3ASunbeam%7CModel%3ATiger&hash=item3b4178bce6:g:GIQAAOxyRhBS7RA~ and these: https://www.carcarpets.co.uk/sunbeam-tiger-mki...

Re: seams - visible or not?
Hi Gary
Thanks for your reply, very helpful.
Mine was registered 30.4.65 which makes it 'early' I guess. I'm still undecided, mine's never gonna win prizes for originality so I think I'll probably just go with what I think looks best and have all the seams welded up.
Cheers

seams - visible or not?
Hi Should the seams between front vallance and front wings be visible? Similarly the seams fore and aft of the sills? Personally I think they look better de-seamed. I've been looking at pictures in the cat's whiskers and on the net and where you can see, there seems to be about a 50/50 split. Any gu...

wiring loom recommendation?
Can anyone recommend a source of wiring looms for MK1? I was looking at the ones from autosparks https://www.autosparks.co.uk/sunbeam-tiger-wiring-harness-set-1 but I seem to remember reading somewhere of a loom with complete with larger fusebox and additional fuses but maybe I dreamt that.. Re: Oil pressure pipe
Thanks Gary.
From what I can get from google the engine block end is 1/4 NPT so I've ordered 6 foot braided 1/4 NPT to 1/8 BSP from Think Automotive who were very helpful.
I'll report back if it fits, fingers crossed....

Oil pressure pipe
Hi
I need to get a new pipe for my tiger. Tried to get one from Sunbeam Spares but no joy there. Can anybody advise where else I might get one or, failing that, the length and fitting sizes so I can get one made up by e.g. Think Automotive ?
Thanks in advance

hardtop - value vs pain of storage
Hi I've had my Tiger for 8 years and never fitted the hardtop in all that time. It's a bit of a pain to store so I'm thinking of flogging it but I haven't the faintest idea what they're worth, I've googled but not really found anything useful. It came with the car when I bought it and it's in good n...

How much does colour affect value
Apologies if I offend any purists but does a non-standard colour significantly affect the value do you think?
I'm not talking about anything lary, I quite fancy that metallic grey you sometimes see e-types in but if it knocks £5k off the value I'll stick to red!
Cheers
