Thanks for the info, does the instruction "no overspray on element" imply that they paint it after it is fitted? that doesn't sound quite right to me.

original air filter colour?

Hi all,
My air filter was painted black at some point but there is silver still visible inside. Does anyone know of a readily available off the shelf match?
cheers

I cam across this today, ultra thin head shield material. You can even get it with gold coatings if you fancy some bling

Oh no!, Was this after Cranleigh? If so, it claimed 2 tigers, mine did the clutch master cyl on the way home.
I think that when they all get together they plot and scheme on how to embarrass us poor owners.

Do exhaust coatings like zircotec work? if so, you may not need all that extra insulation.

Hi All, I was driving back from Cranleigh and my clutch master cyl went click and then proceeded to pump fluid into the footwell with every change as it lowered itself to the floor. Luckily I managed to get home ok but now I need to renew/rebuild. The question I have is whether there is a better com...

mine started life sky blue but the original owner changed it to silver when it was restored. I really like it like this and wouldn't go back to blue.

I had the same problem in addition to cracked mounts and locking nuts. I had to weld up the cracked bits but I would like to improve the linkage as you are doing.
There are so many parts listed, could you post a final list of all the bits you ended up using and pix of the finished product.
cheers

The sunbeam spares website advertises a rebuild kit, what comes with this? does it include a replacement leather seal and the special grease? There is also a servo filter listed, what is that? Is it standard or just a useful addition? If people are putting servos in the cockpit and seats in the engi...

I'm pretty sure it's the original unit. Does anyone make a rebuild kit for them with rubber instead of leather?

Hi everybody, I have searched and read through the forums but can't find anything describing the issue I have with my brakes, which I think is the servo but I would like some learned input form the wise forum members to confirm. The problem is that as I press on the brake pedal it starts gently and ...
