Nice clean work
FYI: I often find the lower fulcrum pivots have been installed backwards by unknowing garage techs. The shorter distance from the notch to the bushing faces forward. another 2-cents

Beef It Up
Randy. By making the filler in three parts I was able to shape the vertical section as a one piece gusset which runs from the inner lower bulkhead to just beyond chassis bolt holes and runs just beside the access hole in the bottom and welded all the way. all in 2mm plate, hope that makes sense. More Input
We always place an extra surface plate over the thin area just below the track rod detents. Both perimeter welded and button hole welds for strength. Be sure to hammer shape the piece into the indent area where the lower wish bone fulcrum mounts.

Play Safe
Martin. Update on the cross member. I spoke with Randy today and got the measurements required. Bad news is that I have a bent cross member which is out by 1/2-3/4" across the shock towers which would account for no shims that side. Good news, I have a complete Alpine Cross member I found 5 miles f...

Re: Shiftless
OK: I did the search in the loft attic and yes, I have two nice new short post shifters left. These came in the original MK1 and work great in the later MK 1A also. PM me for available pricing/shipping/etc.0neoffive wrote:PM sent. I have a few remaining in the loft. . . . . .

Re: Gearstick - Wanted
Hi, I have, what I think, is a Mustang gearstick in my Tiger. Whatever it is its longer than the Tiger stick. I have borrowed one to compare and see if i could cut mine down to create a Tiger stick. Whilst it can be done it strikes me that it might end up becoming a pain and taking the car off the ...

MK II Tiger Alternator Brackets
We have an opportunity to do a short run recast of the MK II alternator bracket, as original, in high strength aluminum. The minimum order for 11 of them would run $4,600.00. The initial pattern and core boxes are the high costs, while the actual raw casting is a bargain. Machining eats up a few mor...
