Re: New ethanol fuel

Hegarty has done some investigation into the problems but Classic and performance car owners who buy super unleaded higher octane petrol will not immediately be affected, as this is set to remain at the E5 mix for five more years. Because ethanol is hygroscopic, it absorbs water from the atmosphere....

So I’ve just seen the last pair of Brembos sell for £250. Although Brembo seem to be the best brake upgrade, at that price it’s worth looking at alternatives.

Well I’ve just installed my Brembos so I thought I’d add a description of what and how to do it. I went for the adapter plate. What you’ll need is: 8 off 3/8” UNF high tensile countersink bolts 1” long 8 off 3/8” UNF high tensile countersink bolts 1 1/4” long 2 off M12 washers. They should be 2.5mm ...

This is a start. I’m doing mine now but cannot absolutely confirm all dims. I’ve had the 8 holes on the two PCDs drilled 6mm so I can spot through into disc and then open the holes up.

Hi Gary, welcome.
If I hear of I’ll let you know. Try google for now. Most chat is on the Facebook site. You might have more luck there. What price are you looking at and what kind of spec are you looking for. Standard original or super fast?
Good luck Si

Well there’s a lot could be said. The midget rack goes some way to helping Ackerman angle. It’s not THE answer but Dales kit probably is at a price. The steering arms are a little longer but the rack makes steering overall quicker. The drawbacks are the forces needed to turn the wheel and also the t...

Some people do say that. Always replace lifters with a new cam. The cam if not damaged should be OK as it's work hardened.

2 or 2 1/4" exhaust

Is there any beneficial reason for going to 2 1/4" from 2". That's either power or sound. The engine is street 302 with about 300bhp and headers.

Fit dry. I turned nut 3/4 nut after push rod pinched lifter. I have an old drive shaft from a old dizzy which I used to pump up the lifter when they're set. Make sure lifters are lubed with break in lifter lube. Start engine and run for 20 minutes at over 2000rpm. Make sure dizzy goes back in as it ...
