Yes that's what I use at least. The racks are fundamentally maintenance free but they do loose oil especially when the rubber gaitors split. New gaitors and good fill of heavy oil - bingo... But beware not to overfill otherwise the oil may quench out when steering arm is fully retracted on one side...

No grease nipples on the Tiger rack. It's filled with a heavy oil instead...

As Gary said, check the the T bar/cable/plunger for proper function. Shifter is quite easy to remove. Just loosen the two screws from the top once gaitor/chrome ring is off. Heard stories that twisted doors were pretty common and remedied by countertwisting them by the factory worker . A good body shop should be able to correct it...

If they are knurled at the top like the originals they won't move out. Are you sure the hinge screws are originals ? Think they should all have peaked ends to ease mounting to the threaded counter plates ...
