From what I have observed, If a buyer requested a radio, it was what the dealer had available that was fitted.

My garage has no ceiling, and exposed frames. I tie wide tie straps from the beam in a loop and back to the beam. I have 2 hardtops and they sit nicley above head height and easy to bring down when needed.

One path adopted by the US chaps and me is to swap the narrow band gear set with a wide band set from a similar aged mustang. After that you fit a new 1st gear that gives the car a hole shot start. Coupling that with a 2.17 rear drive from a jeep late 70's and a LSD and you have a very drivable car ...

Have you shorted the 2 leads to the switch and see if the lights work?
As far as the number plate light goes, my car did have a lead to the center from the tail light.

289 heads fit a 260. :D I have aftermarket alloy heads fitted. The blocks are the same. The casting of the bores were different. You will have to buy an adjustable pushrod to determine the size you need for your heads. If not sure get a rebuild done by an expert

Cant see why not, oil only flows under the inlet manifold while the engine is running. Changing the inlet manifold will not need an oil change however if you are changing the top of the engine, maybe an oil change is in order.

Thank you, found the hole. Not easy in a midnight blue Tiger in a shed. Also had heat/sound sheeting on the inside.

Battery cable pass through

How does the battery cable pass from inside the car to the starter solenoid outside the firewall. My Tiger has no hole for it to pass through

David May and others have fitted the MX5 unit, some had new arms fitted, others found the MX5 arms can be shortened and threaded for alpine ends.
When we have it together we will decide the option. I believe the extreme pivot range of the MX5 unit negates the bending of the arms.

steering arms

I finally got the 2 steering arms off the ball joints. What I did not do was mark them. So on one each one there is 1990 602 and on the other 1990603.
Can someone advise which is left and which is right. They came off a LHD Tiger and are going on a RHD Tiger fitted with a MX5 steering rack.

replacing front bush in rear springs

Can anyone supply or point me in the right direction to source a short length of pipe, 47mm or 1.27/32" in outside diameter. I need to replace the large bushes in the front of the rear springs.
