Can the selector rod adjustment nuts be accessed through the inspection panel aperture inside the car where the 1/4 " pin is inserted through the hole in the 3 selector shafts or has access got to be from under the car? If so , is there a recommended spanner ( maybe a crowfoot ). Also am I correct i...

Thanks Gary. The gear lever is a spare one that I have . The chrome is in better condition than the original one on the car. I think Ford must have put the gaiter on before the gear lever was assembled.

I was planning to fit a new gaiter. I understand that it can be fitted with the T bar still in place by warming it in hot water and a bit of lubrication. The old one can be just cut off.

I need to fit a new rubber gaiter to my gear lever. The knob has unscrewed with no problem but the chrome part below the knob seems really tight. Is there a recommended way to unscrew this ?

My original Tiger radiator now needs either repairing or replacing. Radtec seems to offer a good replacement. Has anyone any experience of their product? ie is it a perfect fit?

Recently on the U.S. TV show Fantomworks, a Tiger owner brought his car in and asked for the instruments to be changed to original Smiths gauges. I thought all Tigers were fitted with Jaeger gauges, or were export Tiger different and indeed fitted with Smiths gauges for the U.S. market.

Thanks Gary. I thought of connecting the lead to earth to test the gauge, but the workshop manual advises against this saying that the gauge windings may burn out. Have you tried this yourself ?
