Re: BMR radiators / overheating.

A flexi fan has stainless curved blades which go flatter with engine speed so reducing the amount of drag.

Try the racer John Woolfe in the UK, he used to sell them and was cheaper than the usual suspects.

Re: Brads Tiger

Thanks Mal, kind words and if I hadn't of seen yours first I probably wouldn't have bought this one. The registration process is taking longer than I hoped, it was moved from your local council office to online. Unfortunately the online system was rather circular with no way of getting to speak with...

Re: Brads Tiger

Not sure, they came with the car, but they seem pretty rigid, assembling the suspension was a proper trial. Got both sides set up the same so at least it won't throw me in the nearest ditch, will check it all again after a few miles. Currently going through the registration process, i have to get a ...

Re: Brads Tiger

3rd time trying to set up the suspension, made a proper front frame this time but still couldn't get the suspension on to its stops. Think the up-rated springs are throwing things out. https://www.dropbox.com/s/l2q6iuwvdtqnf4i/IMG_20220131_145159%5B1%5D.jpg?dl=0 Got the camber right on, castor is 2 ...

Re: Wheel sizes

Its the inner wheel arch and the outer arch lip that causes problems, to go 8 inch is best done when welding up to give clearances, you may be lucky with your set up as it is but probably not.

Re: Brads Tiger

Thanks for the kind comments.
Slight delay to getting the suspension sorted as the wrong wheel nuts were supplied with the wheels and the supplier is out of stock.

No great worry as the amount of mud on the roads at the moment from all the rain and tractors around here she is best kept in the garage.

Re: Brads Tiger

Well that's the car off of stands and on her new boots.

Just need to set the suspension up, get her road legal and then shake down.

Bit strange after all these years seeing her finished and the box of bits to fit being empty.

Re: LAT bonnet fitting

Thats about it, centre the bonnet with the gaps as best you can at the back and sides then trim the front.

You may have to shim the hinges to get it to sit properly.

Also you will need to make a bracket for the bonnet support rod.

Re: Brads Tiger

Spent a few hours checking all the brake fittings, found a problem with one female connector being too long and not sealing, sorted that out and filled with fluid. After a dozen pumps the new master cylinder kicked in and promptly leaked at the output connection. Took loads of things off to get to i...

Re: Brads Tiger

Hi Gary, this year is target, work permitting. Got the Ammeter working on the bench, as far as i can tell it was the needle touching the front case, hell of a job getting it back together. https://www.dropbox.com/s/txbges2rtz60vbl/Tiger%20tacho.jpg?dl=0 Pads have arrived and fitted, tomorrow is blee...

Re: Brads Tiger

Radiator repaired, 13inch heavy duty derale fan fitted this time and the engine run up again. As before the engine didn't like to idle so it was difficult to get it running then get the strobe gun on it before it stalled out, i checked for air leaks and couldn't find any plus there was fuel in the c...
