Last year I had to replace a leaking Heater matrix, after which I found the running temp had dropped a few degrees, so If you haven't replaced or flushed it out, It's worth doing. I also run without a thermostat which allows a greater flow of water.

Had similar problem with Mallory dual point, got Pertronics from Brian at least 10 years ago and just dropped the plate in and not one problem since.

Tony, Moffat is a 2 day show, Saturday is a run out and Sunday is the show. I go up on the Sunday, 73 miles 1hr 10/20mins. So you could stay in Lakes! and explore on the Saturady if you didnt want to do the run out around Moffat.
