Pomeroy Trophy, Silverstone 18th February
Two Tigers entered in this long-established VSCC event to find the ultimate touring car, although as the formula includes measuring the distance from rearmost pedal to back axle centre, the answer is nearly always a Frazer Nash. Let's see how we get on!

Hi Joe, I assume you mean in the UK. Race / sprint insurance is available through many providers. Can't speak about sprints / hillclimbs but for racing the cost, and excess, is prohibitive for me so I've never bothered. Even with a major prang at Spa, I am still quids in compared to insuring every r...

Hi Harry,
Jaga and I are staying in the Radisson Saturday and Sunday as I'm (fingers crossed) racing the Austin in the History of the BTCC race on the Sunday.
There is some sort of discount offer on the HSCC page.

Got home late Monday. Off to collect GYU from the trailer storage today. Alternator failed on Day 2; I heeded earlier advice and brought a spare so it was a relatively quick roadside swap for us in the sunshine with Tristan and Lou's help. An infuriating intermittent total cut-out problem eventually...

Tristan has spoken with management at the Holiday Inn Ariel hotel, one of the original 1964 rally start points. They're looking forward to seeing 3 Tigers at least at 7am tomorrow morning, before we head off to the 11.10am Dover ferry. I understand most are heading to the ferry port tonight, but in ...

Just back from Novatech rolling road; new Edelbrock fitted by Clinton during extensive service required very little further tuning. Flywheel figures Min 220ft lb 1700rpm to 5200rpm, 219bhp at 5200, not tailing off. Quite pleased with that from a 260 with Edelbrock Performer plus cam and manifold. Nu...
Fitted mine with the speaker upgrade kit:

There's a channel in the seat back foam to run the leads - they dangle underneath, awaiting acquisition and installation of a suitable audio source, but that's way down the priority list.

Those who braved the weather forecast were treated to a great race in the early evening sunshine, after some of the worst track conditions I can remember during a soaking and fraught qualifying, cut short by 2 spinners (unharmed) in the gravel at the bottom of Craner Curves. Dave Smallridge and Tony...

In addition, I can recommend Redline CV-2 as the best grease I've found so far, stays in place even when racing with solid disc brakes. http://www.redlineoil.com/product.aspx?pid=82&pcid=17 Keep thinking about that spares pack, why wait for the spares van to turn up if it's something you can swap ov...
