It will be nice to see a pic with those wheels on your car, and interesting to see how close the tyres are to the rear springs which seems to the closest point. Good way of doing it though. Make them do the measuring .

My brake drums are in poor condition and I would like to replace them. I have seen that the parts suppliers do have them, but I was wondering if there are drums from other Rootes cars that will fit.

I have been told you don't need to use them unless you are doing a lot of hard driving or towing. People have been finding on tear down on older engines no accelerated valve seat wear, using unleaded petrol without additive under normal driving conditions.

There seems to be some favoritisim here, and so there should be. Nice MKII. Nice Alpine as well. All the cars there are very nice.
